Setting
Duckett Mill Campground sits along the aqua-blue waters of Lake Sidney Lanier, a 38,000-acre Corps of Engineers reservoir surrounded by rolling northern Georgia farmland. The campground features 97 RV sites with electric and water hookups alongside 14 tent-only sites. Facilities include showerhouses, flush toilets, laundry equipment, a playground, and a swimming beach. A public boat ramp sits just outside the campground entrance, providing water access for wakeboarding, kayaking, and powerboating. Hiking and birding are nearby at Don Carter State Park and Sawnee Mountain Preserve.
Getting there: To reach this park take state route 400 north to exit 17, turn right on Georgia Highway 306, turn right on Georgia Highway 53, turn right on Duckett Mill road. Follow Duckett Mill Road into the campground.
