Buford Dam Park is located on the southern shore of Lake Lanier, sitting just north of Buford Dam in the Blue Ridge foothills. The day-use park features a designated swim beach, picnic areas, restrooms, a playground, a basketball court, and a soccer field. It serves as an access point for the 3.5-mile Laurel Ridge Hiking Trail loop overlooking the lake and the Chattahoochee River. Boating, kayaking, wakeboarding, and fishing for bass and catfish are popular on the surrounding water.
