The campground features 13 reservable sites, each equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and lantern post. Amenities on site are limited to hand-pumped drinking water, trash bins, and a central vault toilet. Campers can wade or fish in the river right from the grounds, or drive up Tallulah River Road to access nearby wilderness trailheads like Beech Creek, Buck Creek, and the short Coleman River Trail.
Getting there: Take U.S. 76 west from Clayton, Georgia for 8 miles; turn right (north) on Persimmon Road for 4.2 miles; turn left (northwest) on Tallulah River Road (Forest Service Road 70) for 4.6 miles to arrive at Sandy Bottoms Campground.
