Galt's Ferry Day Use Area is a day-use park along the 270-mile shoreline of Allatoona Lake on the Etowah River. The site features an open picnic shelter seating up to 100 people, located 50 yards from a restroom. On-site facilities include a boat ramp, a swimming beach, a fishing jetty, a playground, and a horseshoe pit. The lake and surrounding hardwood-forested hills provide space for boating, swimming, kayaking, fishing, and hiking, with Cartersville and the Tellus Science Museum nearby.
