Cooper's Furnace Day Use Area in GA -- Campground & RV Camping in Georgia

Cooper's Furnace Day Use Area is a day-use park on the Etowah River, downstream from the Allatoona Lake dam in northern Georgia's hardwood hills. The site features an 1800s iron furnace and offers direct access to a system of hiking trails. Outdoor amenities include two open picnic shelters holding up to 60 people each, a playground, a volleyball court, horseshoe pits, and a nearby restroom. The river provides water access for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. Cartersville and the Tellus Science Museum are located nearby.
