Setting
St. Lucie Campground sits along the St. Lucie Canal on the Okeechobee Waterway, 25 miles east of Lake Okeechobee. Shaded by tropical vegetation, the park offers waterfront RV, tent, and cruiser boat campsites, all equipped with electric hookups and water. On-site facilities include flush toilets, a dump station, a visitor center, a group picnic shelter, and a horseshoe pit. Campers can watch boats and manatees pass through the St. Lucie Lock, hike the St. Lucie Nature Trail on the north bank, or drop a line into the canal and the adjacent South Fork River.
Getting there: From I-95, take Exit 101 (Stuart/Indiantown), following SR 76 W for 0.5 miles to Locks Road. Turn right onto Locks Road for 1.3 miles to SW Canal Street and turn left into the campground.
