Setting
Lake Shore Group Campground is located on the north shore of 12-acre Fore Lake in the Ocala National Forest, surrounded by saw palmettos and oak trees. The tent-focused facility accommodates up to 50 people, with RV parking restricted to a small parking area. Centered around a large accessible picnic shelter, the site includes a group grill, picnic tables, drinking water, and restrooms with flush toilets and showers. An on-site boat ramp provides access to the lake for electric-motor boats, canoes, and kayaks, while the shore supports birding and fishing.
Getting there: From I-75, west of Ocala, take exit 352 onto State Route 40 east. Continue for 10 miles to County Road 314. Turn left on 314 and go 6 miles. Turn left onto 147th Avenue Road and look for the Lake Shore sign and entrance on left.
