Buck Lake Group Camp is a primitive facility on the shores of Buck Lake in Florida's Ocala National Forest, designed for single-group bookings of up to 50 guests. The grounds feature a sandy swimming beach, a group campfire ring, six picnic tables, a hand pump for drinking water, and a vault toilet. Campers have direct access to the lake for boating and panfish or bass fishing, with a 1.7-mile trail looping around the shoreline to connect with the Florida Trail. Alexander Springs is located nearby.
Getting there: From I-75 in Ocala, Florida, travel east on State Route 40. Turn onto State Route 19 south, then turn right onto Forest Road 595-2 and travel for approximately 4 miles. Buck Lake Group Camp will be on the left.
