Clearwater Lake Recreation Area sits on the southeastern edge of the Ocala National Forest among a mix of pine woods and palms. The shaded campground features waterfront sites along Clearwater Lake, level parking pads for tents and RVs, flush toilets, showers, and dishwashing stations, with no hookups provided. The lake offers a designated swimming beach, bass and catfish fishing, and canoe rentals for a nearby 7-mile canoe trail. On land, hikers and bikers can access the 1.3-mile Clearwater Lake Loop Trail, the Paisley Woods Bicycle Trail, and the Florida National Scenic Trail.
