Alexander Springs Recreation Area in FL -- Campground & RV Camping in Florida

Alexander Springs Recreation Area is set in a subtropical floodplain forest of maples, sweet gums, and cabbage palms in the Ocala National Forest. The campground consists of four shaded loops within walking distance of the spring pool, offering level pads for RVs and tents, flush toilets, showers, and a small general store, but no hookups. The primary draw is the 72-degree, spring-fed pool, which is the only place in the national forest where scuba diving is permitted. Campers can also paddle Alexander Run, fish along the Timucuan Trail, or hike the Florida National Scenic Trail.
