All 6 miles in are maintained only for high-clearance vehicles. Dirt the whole way in (6 miles). Climbs 2,100 ft over 6 miles -- sustained grades near 20%, with pitches to 24%. Stretches run along a shelf with a drop of up to ~140 ft on the downhill side. Little level ground alongside -- few of the stretches measured have a flat spot to pull onto. Winds through 15 switchbacks. Water crossings 0.1, 1, 1.3, 1.3, 1.7, 1.9, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.5, 2.5, 2.7 and 3 miles in. Gates 5.1 and 5.2 miles in.
