Built in the 1880s, Duncan Cabin sits at 8,120 feet in the Rio Grande National Forest on a west-facing slope overlooking the San Luis Valley. The rustic one-room cabin accommodates up to six people with two bunk beds, a wood stove, table, chairs, and cookware, but lacks electricity and running water. On-site features include a picnic table, fire pit, outdoor vault toilet, and a horse corral. Pole Creek is located roughly 1,500 feet away. Nearby attractions include hiking trails and Great Sand Dunes National Park.
