Pinnacle campground is situated within Stagecoach State Park in Routt County, 17 miles south of Steamboat Springs. The park encompasses 1,641 acres centered on a 771-acre Yampa River reservoir. Montane shrub communities, riparian zones, and wetlands create the landscape, home to elk, mule deer, coyotes, red foxes, and badgers. The park offers boat launching access and 8 miles of hiking trails. Established in 1989, Stagecoach has become a popular destination for camping, boating, and wildlife observation in northwestern Colorado.
