Setting
Dry Lake Trailhead and Campground sits at 8,277 feet in the Park Range of Routt National Forest, just outside Steamboat Springs off Buffalo Pass Road. The facility provides access to a large network of multi-use trails, dirt-bike singletrack, and the Continental Divide Trail heading south or into the Mount Zirkel Wilderness to the north. On-site amenities include vault toilets and 22 spacious campsites equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, and bear-proof food storage boxes.
Getting there: Directions from Steamboat Springs, Colorado: Travel 4 miles north of Steamboat Springs on Routt County Road #36 (Strawberry Park Rd), then 3.6 miles east on Routt County Road #38 (Buffalo Pass Rd). The campground is located to the north of the road.
