Off Cow Camp is a small, rustic cabin set at 10,500 feet in an alpine meadow along Burro Creek, surrounded by aspen groves and spruce-fir forest near Bennett Peak. Accessible only by vehicles 50 inches wide or less, horses, or foot, the site includes a cabin that sleeps four on two bunk beds, a wood-burning cook stove, a table and chairs, a fire ring, an outhouse, and a horse barn. There is no potable water on site. Nearby Burro Creek trails accommodate OHV riding, mountain biking, hiking, and horseback riding.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
Bennett Peak stands 2,661 ft above the site, 2.1 miles east. Private here -- the nearest through road is 0.7 miles off, a single-site campground. Cabins and shelters rather than pads -- 1 hike-in site. A body of water lies 0.7 mi off. The nearest town, Del Norte, is 15 mi off.
