Fitton Guard Station is a rustic high-altitude cabin sitting at 10,600 feet in a meadow along Burro Creek, flanked by aspen groves and spruce-fir forests. Accessible only via 50-inch-or-less vehicles, horseback, or foot, the site sleeps four across two bunk beds and includes a small covered porch, a wood-burning cook stove, a table, chairs, a fire ring, an outhouse, and a horse barn. Water must be pulled from local sources and treated. Nearby Burro Creek trails offer direct access for OHV riding, mountain biking, hiking, and winter snowmobiling.
