Silver Bar Campground is located five miles southwest of Aspen along Maroon Creek, adjacent to the Maroon Bells Welcome Station. Sitting at 8,460 feet elevation, this small primitive layout features four walk-in, tent-only sites and one accessible campsite. Each site includes a picnic table, campfire ring, and food storage locker (bear box). The facility provides vault toilets but no drinking water or electrical hookups. Nearby options include fishing in Maroon Creek, day hiking on the Maroon Creek Trail, and accessing high-altitude routes in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness.

Getting there: Located approximately 5 miles southwest of Aspen, Colorado, on Maroon Creek Road. From Highway 82, take the Maroon Creek Road exit at the roundabout on the west edge of town. Follow Maroon Creek Road to the Welcome Station. Silver Bar Campground is on the left.
