Setting
Redstone Campground sits at 7,800 feet on a ridge above the Crystal River, surrounded by aspen groves, tall grasses, and red rock cliffs in White River National Forest. Its 35 widely spaced sites accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs with picnic tables, campfire rings, and views of the surrounding peaks. Seventeen sites include electrical hookups, and the grounds feature vault toilets, drinking water, showers, a picnic shelter, playground facilities, and horseshoe pits. Fly fishing is popular on the adjacent river, and the 14.8-mile trail up Mount Sopris begins nearby.
