Round Mountain Campground sits at 8,500 feet among ponderosa pine and aspen woods near Blue Mountain and Stoll Mountain. It offers about 15 widely spaced, rustic campsites equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, vault toilets, and a hand pump for drinking water. Campers must pack out all trash. The location puts visitors six miles from Lake George and Eleven Mile Canyon, providing a base for trout fishing, rock climbing, hiking, and mountain biking. Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is an 11-mile drive away.
