Perched at an elevation of 7,767 feet, the North Rim campground offers 13 remote campsites scattered among pinyon and juniper trees. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The seasonal ranger station provides park maps, a self-pay station for entrance fees, and a self-registration kiosk for wilderness permits during summer operations.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.

Gunnison River runs 0.2 mi off. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.2 miles off, a 14-site campground. Most of them shaded. Green Mountain stands 807 ft above the site, 1.6 miles northwest. The nearest town, Montrose, is 11 mi off.
