House Creek Campground sits on a open, unshaded meadow along the high-water line of McPhee Reservoir in the San Juan National Forest near Dolores. As the second-largest reservoir in Colorado, McPhee offers 50 miles of shoreline for boating, water skiing, swimming, and fishing. The campground includes single and group campsites, electric hookups, picnic tables, fire rings, grills, shade shelters, vault toilets, drinking water, and an on-site boat ramp. The Four Corners location puts it within an hour and a half of Mesa Verde National Park and Canyons of the Ancients.
