Setting
Aspen Grove campground within Vega State Park sits on 1,823 acres of meadow and aspen forest surrounding a 925-acre reservoir, with montane shrubland and wetlands edging the shore. The campground provides 27 RV sites with central water access and rustic toilet facilities. Vega Reservoir supports rainbow and cutthroat trout fishing, water skiing, windsurfing, and sailing. Year-round recreation includes boating, hiking, mountain biking, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, bird watching, and ice fishing. A visitor center south of the dam offers exhibits and displays.
