Setting
Located within McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area near the Colorado River, Rabbit Valley features five distinct campgrounds designed for different equipment types. Koniklos offers equestrian sites with individual corrals, while Fluffle and select High North sites provide large group spots accommodating vehicles up to 60 feet. Jouflas and Knowles Overlook cater to tent and overland campers with site limits under 30 feet. The area features scattered junipers, views of the San Juan and La Sal mountains, off-roading access, and the self-guided Trail Through Time interpretive hike displaying local dinosaur bones.
Getting there: From I-70, take exit 2 and turn south until you come to the BLM kiosk. Follow the map and directions to specific campgrounds and loops.
