Setting
Situated at 9,800 feet on the northern slope of Grand Mesa, Jumbo Campground sits between Jumbo Lake and Sunset Lake amidst spruce and aspen forest. Most single and double family sites have lake views and electric hookups. On-site facilities include picnic tables, campfire rings with grills, vault toilets, and drinking water. Both adjacent lakes allow non-motorized boating and trout fishing. Hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders can access the multi-mile West Bench Trail No. 501 directly from the area.
Getting there: From Mesa, Colo., travel south on State Route 65 for about 13 miles to the campground sign. Turn right into the campground.
