Setting
Stove Prairie Campground sits among ponderosa pine and aspen trees along the Cache la Poudre River in a steep canyon 26 miles northwest of Fort Collins. The site offers eight accessible single-family campsites, including four walk-to tent sites. Each site is furnished with a 12-by-15-foot tent pad, picnic table, and campfire ring with grill. Accessible vault toilets are on site, and firewood is available from the host or through gathering fallen wood in the surrounding forest. Nearby trails include Mt. McConnel, Young Gulch, and the William R. Kreutzer National Recreation Trail.
Getting there: From Fort Collins, take Highway 14 northwest for 26 miles, to the campground.
