Rocky Mountain National Park Moraine Park Campground in CO -- Campground & RV Camping in Colorado

Moraine Park Campground is situated at 8,160 feet elevation on the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park. The open terrain is forested with Douglas fir, lodgepole pine, and ponderosa pine adjacent to meadow spaces. The facility has 244 campsites accommodating tents and RVs up to 40 feet, including walk-in tent pads and 49 sites with 20, 30, or 50-amp electric hookups. Facilities feature paved roads, flush toilets, drinking water, solar shower stalls, picnic tables, fire rings, bear boxes, an outdoor amphitheater, and an internal stop for the park's free shuttle bus.

Getting there: Take Highway 36 west from Estes Park, CO. From Highway 36, turn left onto Bear Lake Road, which is near the Beaver Meadows Entrance Station, and follow the signs to the campground. Take Highway 34 west from Estes Park, CO to Highway 36 via Deer Ridge Junction. From Highway 36, turn right onto Bear Lake Road, which is near the Beaver Meadows Entrance Station, and follow the signs to the campground. Take Highway 34 east from Grand Lake, CO to Highway 36 via Deer Ridge Junction. From Highway 36, turn right onto Bear Lake Road, which is near the Beaver Meadows Entrance Station, and follow the signs to the campground.
