Rocky Mountain National Park Aspenglen Campground in CO -- Campground & RV Camping in Colorado

Located near the Fall River Entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, Aspenglen Campground sits in a forest of Douglas fir, lodgepole pine, ponderosa pine, and open meadows. The terrain supports resident mule deer and elk. Facilities include paved roads, drive-to sites for tents and RVs, walk-in tent-only sites, flush toilets, drinking water, and picnic tables with fire rings. Generator use is limited to Loop C during specific hours. Over 350 miles of park trails and scenic drives along Trail Ridge Road and Old Fall River Road are easily accessed from the camp.

Getting there: From Estes Park, CO: Drive on U.S. Highway 34 west from Estes Park. The closest entrance to the park is the Fall River Entrance. The turn for Aspenglen Campground is approximately 0.2 miles from the entrance, located on the left side of the road. From Grand Lake, CO: Drive on U.S. Highway 34 east, which becomes Trail Ridge Road inside the park. Enter at the Grand Lake Entrance. Follow Trail Ridge Road east across the continental divide approximately 40 miles. When you come to Deer Ridge Junction, follow the signs for Fall River Road and turn left. Follow Fall River Road east past Horseshoe Park and look for the entrance to Aspenglen Campground on the right side of the road. Aspenglen Campground is approximately 0.2 miles before the exit to the park.
