Setting
North Fork Poudre Campground is an older facility set in a dense lodgepole pine forest along Deadman Road, west of Red Feather Lakes. Situated near the banks of the North Fork Cache la Poudre River, the site features nine small individual campsites equipped with short parking spurs that cannot fit large RVs. Each site has a tent pad, picnic table, and fire grate. Local activities include stream fishing, hiking, and four-wheel driving.
Getting there: Drive 21 miles north of Fort Collins on U.S. Highway 287.Turn left (west) onto the Red Feather Lakes Road (County Road 74E). Continue west as the road designation changes to County Road 86 (Deadman Road, formerly County Road 162), through Red Feather Lakes. The campground is on the north side of the road roughly seven miles west of Red Feather Lakes Village.
