Setting
Mountain Park Campground sits on the banks of the Cache la Poudre River within a ponderosa pine canyon 40 miles northwest of Fort Collins, Colorado. The facility features single, double, and group sites, including 32 sites with electric hookups. On-site amenities include picnic tables, tent pads, campfire rings, vault toilets, drinking water, coin-operated showers, a playground, volleyball and basketball courts, and horseshoe pits. Visitors have direct river access for whitewater rafting and trout fishing, with nearby trails including the Mt. McConnel and Young Gulch routes.
Getting there: From Fort Collins, travel west on Colorado Highway 14, to Ted's Place, and continue up the Poudre Canyon to mile marker 98.8.
