Setting
Kelly Flats is a first-come, first-served campground positioned right along Colorado Highway 14 and the Cache La Poudre River. Its 29 campsites include four dedicated walk-in tent sites, all set within an open conifer forest and riverfront riparian vegetation. Every site is furnished with a tent pad, picnic table, and fire grate. Stream fishing and spending time along the flowing river are the primary activities on site.
Getting there: Drive 10 miles north of Fort Collins on U.S. Highway 287. Turn left (west) onto Highway 14 and drive approximately 25 miles.
