Setting
Jacks Gulch Recreation Area sits in a ponderosa pine and aspen forest 48 miles northwest of Fort Collins. The facility features an accessible group site holding 60 people and nine RVs with electric hookups, complete with a picnic shelter, two central cooking areas, grills, and fire rings. Five separate equestrian sites offer horse stalls, tent pads, and trailer space. Vault toilets, drinking water, and trash collection are available. A perimeter nature trail offers views of the Mummy Range, with additional hiking and riding trails nearby.
Getting there: From Fort Collins, take Highway 14 northwest for 42 miles, then County Road 63 E (Pingree Park Road) south for 6 miles.
