Setting
Chambers Lake Campground sits at 9,200 feet along the shores of Chambers Lake, 60 miles north of Fort Collins, Colorado. The rustic, high-elevation facility features single and double campsites, vault toilets, drinking water, a playground, and an on-site boat ramp for launching non-motorized craft onto the no-wake reservoir. Anglers target rainbow, cutthroat, and lake trout, while hikers can reach the Rawah Wilderness via the nearby Blue Lake Trail No. 959. Additional nearby trails extend into the neighboring Neota and Comanche Peak wilderness areas.
Getting there: From Interstate 25 at Fort Collins, take Highway 287 north for 10 miles to Ted's Place, then take Highway 14 west for 50 miles to the campground.
