Located 18 miles north of Durango at an elevation of 8,705 feet, Haviland Lake Campground sits on the shores of an 80-acre, no-wake lake shaded by ponderosa pines. The facility provides single and double campsites, including options with electric hookups, along with drinking water, accessible vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. Guests can paddle, use the accessible fishing dock for trout, or take the Forebay Lake Trail directly from the grounds. The campground overlooks the Hermosa Cliffs and intersects the historic Rico-to-Rockwood Wagon Road.
