State Forest State Park spans 70,838 acres in the Medicine Bow Range east of Walden, Colorado, with lodgepole pine, Douglas fir, aspen and spruce forests. The park offers 187 developed campsites, 60+ dispersed spots, 15 cabins and yurts, boat ramps on North Michigan Creek Reservoir, and 94 miles of hiking trails. Established 1970, it's home to over 600 moose plus bighorn sheep, elk, mule deer and black bears.
