Setting
South Fork Campground sits at 8,962 feet in the Williams Fork Valley along South Fork Creek. It features one reservable group site for up to 25 people alongside first-come, first-served individual sites. Facilities include picnic tables, campfire rings, tent pads, flush and pit toilets, drinking water, and a small horse corral. The site serves as the equestrian-friendly trailhead for the 26-mile South Fork Trail loop, connecting hikers and horse riders to Ptarmigan Pass and the nearby Byers Peak Wilderness.
Getting there: From Granby, Colorado, take State Highway 40 west toward Parshall, Colorado. Two miles before Parshall, turn left on County Road 3. Go approximately 18 miles on County Road 3. Turn south onto County Road 30 and travel 12 miles. Drive through a large culvert. Continue south for a half-mile and turn right into the campground.
