Pumphouse Recreation Area sits along the Upper Colorado River between Gore and Hartman Canyons. It serves as a primary river access point featuring three boat ramps and the Gore Canyon Whitewater Playpark wave. On-site facilities include 18 single campsites, 2 group sites, day-use parking, 12 vault toilets, and seasonal potable water. Foot trails lead directly from the site, including the 1.5-mile Gore Canyon Trail upriver and the 1.25-mile Gore Canyon Ranch Trail downriver, which connects to the historic Argentine Trail. Kremmling is 15 miles east, and Trough Road provides access.
