Setting
Sitting at 9,000 feet along the Fraser River just south of Winter Park, Idlewild Campground offers 24 non-electric sites for tents, trailers, and RVs. Each site is furnished with a tent pad, picnic table, fire ring, and bear locker. Amenities include drinking water, trash service, restrooms, and an on-site host. The paved Fraser River Trail runs right by the grounds for biking and walking, while nearby 4x4 roads lead into the Vasquez Wilderness and up Rollins Pass.
Getting there: From Winter Park, travel one mile south on US Highway 40. The campground is on the east side of the road.
