Set on the edge of White River Plateau, this 1,341-acre park surrounds a 360-acre reservoir and showcases dramatic geological formations, including "unparalleled exposures of the coal-bearing Mesa Verde group" visible from the water. The landscape features pinyon-juniper woodlands and big sagebrush. With 90 campsites, the park offers access to visitor center facilities with picnic areas and serves as a gateway to the plateau's unique ecology and geology.
