A 15.0-mile stretch of dirt National Forest road in Eagle County, CO. The road serves Hornsilver Mountain. The road is open seasonally, June 1 to November 15.
All 15 miles in are maintained only for high-clearance vehicles. Dirt the whole way in (15 miles). Climbs 5,000 ft over 15 miles -- sustained grades near 20%, with pitches to 39%. Stretches run along a shelf with a drop of up to ~140 ft on the downhill side. Winds through 20 switchbacks. Dead-end road -- no mapped turnaround; expect to back out or unhitch.
