Indian Creek Equestrian Campground is a 7-site facility nestled among ponderosa pines, firs, aspens, and oaks in the Pike-San Isabel National Forests. Campers must have a horse to stay here. Facilities include small corrals, four shared hitching rails, and drinking water from hydrants, though there is no watering trough. The site connects directly to the 14-mile Indian Creek (Bear Creek) loop trail, open to horseback riding, hiking, and mountain biking. Rampart Range off-highway vehicle routes and the red rock formations of Roxborough State Park sit nearby.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.
Bennett Mountain stands 824 ft above the site, 0.9 miles southwest. Most of them shaded. Night skies measure Bortle 3 -- a dark rural sky. The nearest town, Roxborough Park, is 4.4 mi off.
