Campground details
Setting
Cobbett Lake Campground sits at 10,300 feet along the Grand Mesa Scenic Byway, nestled in a dense spruce forest along the lake shore. Individual campsites feature picnic tables and campfire rings, supported by drinking water, vault toilets, and trash collection. Cobbett Lake is restricted to non-motorized watercraft, providing options for canoeing and trout fishing. Trailheads for the Cobbett Lake Trail and Grand Mesa Discovery Trail begin adjacent to the sites, and the Grand Mesa Visitor Center is within walking distance at neighboring Island Lake.
Getting there: From Cedaredge, travel north on Highway 65 approximately 15 miles. Just past the Grand Mesa Visitor Center, watch for the campground sign and turnoff road to the right.
