Elk Creek Campground sits at 8,500 feet elevation in Conejos Canyon, roughly 23 miles west of Antonito along Highway 17. The lightly wooded grounds of spruce and ponderosa pine sit along Elk Creek. Sites include single and double options for tents or RVs, equipped with accessible picnic tables, fire rings, and grills. On-site amenities include drinking water from spigots and vault toilets. Nearby trailheads access Duck Lake, Dipping Lakes, and the South San Juan Wilderness. The historic Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad operates out of Antonito.
