West Chicago Creek Campground sits along its namesake creek in an aspen and lodgepole pine forest at 9,600 feet, located off Highway 103 near Mount Blue Sky. The facility has 15 non-hookup sites suitable for both RVs and tents, each equipped with a tent pad, picnic table, charcoal grill, and fire ring. Basic on-site amenities include drinking water spigots, vault toilets, a trash dumpster, and seasonal firewood sales. Nearby trails enter the Mount Evans Wilderness, while the creek holds rainbow, brown, and brook trout. The historic town of Idaho Springs is a short drive away.

Getting there: I-70 westbound, Idaho Springs exit #240 - Hwy 103. Go south for 6.5 miles and turn right on southwest Forest Service Road 188 (West Chicago Creek Road). Go 3 miles to campground. The last mile of dirt/gravel road is one lane with pull over's and contains two sharp switchbacks.
