Setting
Olive Ridge Campground sits at 8,350 feet in the Roosevelt National Forest, just outside the southeastern corner of Rocky Mountain National Park. The heavily wooded terrain features a mix of ponderosa pine and aspen trees over dirt and gravel interior roads. It offers 56 sites—30 designed specifically for tents with dedicated 14x16-foot pads, and 26 suitable for RVs. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring or grill, backed by vault toilets and trash service. The Wild Basin, Finch Lake, and Sandbeach Lake trailheads are all located nearby.
Getting there: The campground is located on the west side of Colorado Highway 7, between Allenspark and Meeker Park at mile-marker 14. It is approximately six miles north of the intersection of Colorado Highways 7 and 72 (which is 21 miles west-north-west of Lyons), 15 miles south of Estes park, and 29 miles north of Nederland.
