Rosa Campground overlooks Navajo Lake, a 15,000-acre reservoir spanning the Colorado-New Mexico border with 150 miles of shoreline. Fed by the San Juan and Piedra rivers, the lake is surrounded by flat-topped mesas, rolling hills, and steep-sided canyons carpeted in pinyon-juniper woodlands. Boating and fishing dominate here, with largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish, northern pike, rainbow trout, and kokanee salmon. Wildlife includes mule deer, river otters, bald eagles, and white pelicans.
