East Fork Campground sits at 7,700 feet on a ridge shaded by ponderosa pine and gambel oak, overlooking the East Fork of the San Juan River. The grounds feature several single-family sites, level pull-through RV spaces, accessible vault toilets, and drinking water. Steep footpaths trail down the ridge to the riverbank for fishing. Located off U.S. Highway 160, the site provides easy road access to local attractions like Silver Falls, Elwood Pass, and the 100-foot Treasure Falls.

13.1 of the 21.9 miles in are maintained only for high-clearance vehicles. Mostly gravel, with 9.1 miles of dirt. Overhead clearance here is posted at 14 ft -- the tightest site sets the limit.

Crowded here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 25-site campground. East Fork San Juan River runs 0.1 mi off. Saddle Mountain stands 4,283 ft above the site, 6.1 miles northwest. 9 sit on the water -- most of them shaded. The nearest town, Pagosa Springs, is 11 mi off.
