Holiday Group Campground is located at 2,120 feet at the bottom of Live Oak Canyon, shaded by heavy tree cover with Matilija Creek running nearby. The site consists of a single group tent location accommodating up to 50 people, served by a 10-vehicle parking area and vault toilets. On-site grills and campfires are permitted, but no drinking water is provided. The Wheeler Gorge Nature Trail and the steep, 10-mile Ortega OHV Trail begin nearby, with a small swimming hole located in the adjacent creek.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
Dry Lakes Ridge stands 2,754 ft above the site, 1.9 miles north. Bellyache Springs lies 0.2 mi off. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a single-site campground. A group campground. The nearest town, Meiners Oaks, is 4.3 mi off.
