Circle X Ranch Group Campground in CA -- Campground & RV Camping

Circle X Ranch Group Campground is a former Boy Scout camp set in the canyons of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area below Sandstone Peak. The facility features a ranger contact station that provides hiking maps for the surrounding area. Trails lead from the site through coastal sage scrub and chaparral down to the West Fork of Arroyo Sequit at the Grotto, as well as up toward high mountain overlooks with views extending to the Channel Islands.

Getting there: Pacific Coast Highway to Yerba Buena Road. Turn inland; go 5.4 miles to Circle X Ranch contact station.
