Anacapa Island Campground is a primitive seven-site facility perched on the coastal bluffs of East Anacapa Island. Reached by climbing a 154-step staircase and hiking a half-mile from the Landing Cove dock, the campground offers sites equipped with picnic tables and food storage boxes, as well as shared pit toilets. There is no fresh water on the island, so all water and supplies must be packed in. The site sits near a two-mile trail network that loops across the islet to scenic overlooks, volcanic sea cliffs, and the historic 1932 Anacapa Light Station.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
The coast lies 0.1 mi off. Private here -- no through road within 3.7 miles, a 16-site campground. Mostly tent-only sites -- 9 hike-in sites, 9 sit on the water. The nearest town, Channel Islands Beach, is 13 mi off.
