Situated at an elevation of 3,200 feet in a mixed conifer forest within Stanislaus National Forest, Pines Campground sits 15 miles from the entrance to Yosemite National Park. The property features the Little Golden Forest Trail, a half-mile interpretive loop with an optional two-mile extension. Nearby water recreation is available along the Tuolumne River, which offers opportunities for fishing and wading. During winter months, camping is open without fees, though no drinking water or toilet paper is stocked on site.
